There is a lot of information out there about the explosion of data. IBM has frequently mentioned that “90 percent of the data in the world today has been created in the last two years alone.” One of the fastest growing areas in the data explosion is computer-generated data.


The “process” part of an analytics strategy is composed of two parts; the process for finding value in the data  whether this is through traditional business intelligence techniques, visualization, or advanced machine learning — and the process for adding analytics into the business.


Finding data scientists is difficult and is likely to get worse before it gets better.  The good news is that you don’t need a team completely comprised of data scientists; you just need a team with a data scientist
